GALVANIZED AND STAINLESS GRATINGS
One of our strengths is certainly the one of being producers of pressed gratings in the various heel-proof mesh or normal, for the multiple possible uses that a grating can have: from basement airways, to scaffoldings, to pedestrian or carriage grating as well as light and heavy motor vehicles as well as for special passageways such as with forklifts and fire engines. In the case of particular aesthetic needs (as, for instance, with parapets), it is even possible to create gratings with load-bearing and connection plates of the same dimension. Our gratings can also be manufactured in the non-slip typology (see image)
, ideal for applications in ice and snow ridden areas, painting structures, industrial plants, fire-safety stairs and for any use that might require a highly adherent surface. Our grating can be manufactured in standard formats and custom, with a normal frame or drip, as well as with a load-bearing beamed under-structure.i.
The pressed gratings are made of:
Load-baring plates: they’re the load-bearing element of the grating, of various heights and thickness; they are what allows the gratings to withhold the loads and the way in which they’re placed determines the bearing points of the grating itself
Connection plates: as the name indicates, they’re the plates that connect the load-bearing plates and together they form the dimension of the grating’s thread. They are inserted by a very high pressure placed upon the specifically created points on the load-bearing plates.
Edging: a perimeter plate that constitutes the grating’s frame
Mesh: are the measures given by the distance (usually calculated from the plates’ centre) between the load-bearing and the connection plates. The thread of the load-bearing plates is fundamental to dimension the grid, depending on the load-bearing required. When the meshes are very crammed, they are called heel-proof.
Hot-dip galvanizing: the grating’s protective treatment par excellence. They are dipped in a high temperature fused zinc bath, after which comes into being a protective coating that can guarantee protection against rust. The regulation for reference is the UNI EN ISO 1461.
Non-slip: a peculiar working of the grating’s load-bearing plates, with carvings for an increased friction during walk
